meet the OWNERS

Ray Jasper

   Ray Jasper has worked in the cheerleading industry for more than 20 years and has managed to build an impressive professional career for himself. Most famously known as the lead Choreographer for the major motion picture 'Bring It On", Ray has since established a reputation as one of the most sought-after and well respected choreographers in the competitive cheerleading industry. His eye-catching and innovative choreography has delivered countless award-winning routines for cheer squads, dance teams and individual competitive dancers. In 2012 Ray was honored with the prestigious 'Choreographer of the Year' title at the Worlds V.I.P. Gala which was awarded to him thanks to the votes from his industry peers and fans alike.

   In addition to working as an independent choreographer Ray has also established his brand Action Spirit, a successful and unique company that specializes in customized choreography/skills camps for both school and all-star cheerleading programs.

   Between his Action Spirit camps and his hectic choreography schedule, Ray definitely keeps very busy but that doesn’t stop him from expanding his reach! More recently, Ray has been packing his signature style and unwavering professionalism in a suitcase and jet setting across the globe. He’s working with several talented international programs, including Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Canada and the list goes on.

Steve Belanger

Steve’s cheerleading career has spanned over 2 decades which began with a position as a NCA instructor in 1995 through 2000. Since then, he began work as a choreographer and began coaching at East Elite. In 2009, East Celebrity Elite was created where he continues to today. Over this time, Steve coached just about every age group and skill level and earned his first World Championship in 2015 in the Medium Coed Division. He would then go on to earn two more World Championships, a Majors title, 4 Summit Titles, and several NCA Championships.

   Steve was Action Spirit’s first head instructor and served on the Action Spirit original staff. Traveling across the U.S. to work with some of the top names in all-star cheer, along with some of the most talented instructors has and will always be a source of inspiration for Steve. In 2009, Ray Jasper asked Steve to take over as co-owner for Action Spirit.

   In addition to coaching and owning Action Spirit, Steve also has been in the choreography business for over 20 years. Choreographing routines for youth to high school, and college to all-star.
