HEAD INSTRUCTORS

Brooklyn Freitag is the Head Staffing Director for Action Spirit. She grew up in Kentucky and currently resides in Nashville, TN with her handsome boyfriend and fabulous dog. She joined Action Spirit right out of high school and has now become the “Mom” of the crew. This will be her 15th summer with Action and spends the rest of her year traveling and doing choreography. She was also apart of the Broadway cast for Bring It On: The Musical. She has also made appearances on the Tony Awards, Macy’s Parade, America’s Got Talent, TKO and multiple news programs. Brooklyn was a competitive gymnast for many years before making the switch to cheerleading. She fell in love with the sport and they lived happily ever after.

Tyler is a head instructor for Action Spirit and has been with the company since 2013. His cheerleading career has taken him from brand new all-star cheerleader, to choreographer and gym director. His first worlds team as an athlete was in 2012, then cheering for East Celebrity Elite C5 in 2013. From there his journey took him to North Carolina to go to school and cheer for Cheer Extreme Coed Elite, earning a bronze world championship medal in 2014. His coaching career began shortly after at CEA, specifically at the Charlotte location, earning an NCA title in 2017 alongside fellow staff member Kacey Cloutier. Post-graduation Tyler moved back home to become to head-coach/choreographer and gym director at ECE’s Hingham location, and since then has had tripled the number of athletes in the program, as well as fielding multiple summit and worlds finalist teams.

Rico is a instructor for Action Spirit. He grew up in Austin Texas and currently resides in Houston Texas with his amazing pup Fitz. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a major in communications. Rico has cheered for 20+ years has won worlds back in 2008 and silver in 2017. He has also won 17 NCA High School and All-Star National Championship titles coaching and as an athlete. He is currently coaching at All-Star Revolution in Houston Tx and will be competing on ASR Freedom.

TeeJay is from Wilmington, NC. Gymnastics led him into cheerleading at the age of 15. He cheered for Wilmington Allstars and Cheer Extreme before he went on to cheer for East Carolina University. He moved to Tampa, FL in 2011 to became Gym Director for Florida Wildcats. This is TeeJays’s 6th season with Action Spirit and 5th season as a Head Instructor. He has over 17 years of experience in this industry starting out as a Coach, Gym Director, Choreographer and now for the last 6 years judging for Varsity. He has since traveled to several countries to teach and spread the knowledge of AllStar Cheerleading including Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Ireland and Canada. He has won several innovative choreography awards and continues to teach choreography, clinics, judge and work for Action. He recently discovered web design being bored at home and designed this web page for Action Spirit.

This summer marks Kylee’s fifth year with Action Spirit, and her second year as a Head Instructor. Kylee has over 15 years of experience in cheerleading as an athlete, coach, and choreographer, at the recreational, scholastic, and all-star levels. Kylee was an athlete at Worlds and Summit Champion program East Celebrity Elite for several years, where she earned many regional and national titles and developed a passion for coaching. She continued her cheerleading career at Cheer Extreme Allstars, where she earned 2 silver medals at The Cheerleading Worlds with Senior Elite and Cougars. While Kylee may have never won a coveted gold medal at worlds, a fun fact about her is that she WAS Baby USA Massachusetts circa 1998, and has loved performing since.

From San Diego, California currently resides in Los Angeles, California . Ted is a former head coach at Cheerforce Allstars in San Diego and a former member of Cheerforce Nfinity. He is a 3 time World Champion with Cheerforce Nfinity in 2015, 2017, and 2019. He is currently a gym director at California Pride. He is a veteran of Action Spirit for 10 years now and is also a Head Instructor. Ted is a Varsity Allstar judge, Choreographer for 13 years and a Coach for 17 years. He has won multiple inovative choreography awards including NCA innovative choreography awards 2015-2020
Multiple NCA and summit titles as a coach and choreographer.

Eric has been on staff for 7 years and is a two time World and NCA champion with CheerForce Nfinity! He is a head coach at CheerForce San Diego where he coaches 5 teams from levels 2-6! He is also going to school to receive a degree in Liberal Studies!
STAFF MEMBERS

Kylee Marshall will be starting her third summer with Action Spirit. After growing up a gymnast, she switched to all star cheerleading in 2009 and the rest was history. She was born and raised in Santa Clarita where she started her cheer career at SCV All Stars. She has coached at SCV for 9 years which led her to 5 summit champion titles. She finished her cheer career a 2019 Worlds silver medalist while on Cheerforce Blackout from San Diego. Kylee has a Bchelor’s degree in communication and media and is now in charge of Action Spirit’s apparel and runs all social media sites.

Michael is originally from the Rio Grande Valley in south Texas and is currently working at Stars Vipers in San Antonio. Michael moved up to work for Stars Vipers in 2016 but has been competing and working in the cheerleading industry for 11 years! Michael started with Action Spirit in 2016 and this summer will mark his 5th season traveling with our staff. He has competed at Worlds for 7 years, 3 of them being with dance and 4 with cheer. Michael and his teams have earned a bronze dance medal in 2014, silver in cheer in 2016 and 2019, and also took silver and gold competing in the U.S Trials! He is also won NCA and The Summit in 2015. Michael is currently coaching high school and middle school teams, but has been coaching All-Star since 2013!

Shayd is an instructor for Action Spirit and has been with the company since 2018. She was born and raised in Huntington Beach but moved to San Diego in 2015 to go to school and cheer. This will be her 11th year cheering and she has won 2 Worlds titles along with a silver and 2 bronze medals at UCA Nationals. She coaches at Cheerforce San Diego, Granite Hills High School, and San Diego State University.

Chloe Ramon is 19 years old, and from San Antonio, TX. She currently goes to a fashion business school called LIM College in NYC. She's cheered for about 13 years and this is her 3rd summer being a part of Action Spirit! She's won NCA and Summit Titles and is also a 2x Worlds Silver Medalist!

Caleb Judice is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and this will be my second year on Action Spirit staff! I have been an athlete for the past 14 years and in 2014 I received a bronze worlds medal with my first ever worlds team Louisiana CheerForce Gold. In 2017 I made the move to CheerForce San Diego where I was on CheerForce Blackout and won the world championship with CheerForce Nfinity in 2019. I am now a coach at Louisiana CheerForce and I am on our non tumbling worlds team Slate! My favorite things to do when I’m not at cheer is going to the beach, trying new foods and I love to do funny impersonations!

Peyton Pierce is a first year member of the Action Spirit staff! He currently lives in Dallas, Texas as he attends Navarro College and currently cheers for Cheer Athletics. Peyton has coached Allstar cheerleading for 3 years at Louisiana Cheer Force, his home gym, and has won a cheersport title and went undefeated with his team he coached this past season! He has also competed on a worlds team for 4 years with Louisiana Cheer Force Gold! Peyton’s passion for cheerleading is one of a kind and he can’t wait for his journey with Action Spirit and his future to come!

I am Alera Hazlewood, and this will be my first year on Action Spirit Staff. I am from Mont Belvieu, Texas and I currently live in Huntsville, Texas where I attend Sam Houston State University. I started tumbling at age 7 and decided I wanted to cheer at 9. I spent my first year of competitive cheerleading at University Cheer, then spent my next 6 years at All-Star Revolution. For my senior year, I moved to Prodigy All-Stars and was on Midnight 18-19. I won Majors, NCA, and Worlds. Additionally, I am going to be a junior here at Sam Houston State University majoring in Kinesiology with a focus in exercise science. This will be my third year on All-girl, I am very excited to see where this year takes me as a person and as an athlete.

This is Maddy’s 4th year on Action Spirit Staff. Maddy Brum started all-star cheerleading at East Celebrity Elite. She was on ECE C5 from 2014-2016 and ECE Bombshells from 2017-2019. While at ECE, Maddy became a 3x World Champion, 3x NCA Champion, 2x Summit Champion, & a Majors Champion. After her experience at ECE she moved her way all the way down to Texas to cheer at Navarro College where she was given the opportunity to perform on the Ellen Show. While cheering at Navarro Maddy also was on the Cheer Athletics Panthers. Maddy will be doing Navarro again this year and will also cheer for the Cheer Athletics Wildcats!

Mallorie is an instructor for Action Spirit and has been with the company since 2017. She currently cheers for the University of Louisville as a master’s student in Sport Administration and Psychology. Mallorie is the Captain of Louisville All Girl and head social media manager for the program. She has numerous Worlds medals, most honorable is from 2015 after an underdog, East Celebrity Elite Medium Coed, stole the hearts of the cheer world after winning their first World Championship. She now competes with Gymtyme All Stars on their All Girl Open 7 team, Golden Girls. Mallorie has had some experience coaching and instructing at both East Celebrity Elite and Gymtyme All Stars. Mallorie spends her time practicing, studying, working part time, volunteering in the Louisville community, team building for All Girl, and leading and inspiring her teammates to another sought after Collegiate National title.

Mitchell Dowden comes from Arnold, Missouri. He did cheer and hip hop in St. Louis for 7 years before he moved to California in 2017 to be a part of CheerForce San Diego. He left home with the intent of learning as much as he could about the sport, and it’s safe to say that he wasn’t let down! He is currently living his dream: he coaches alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, and he is on CHEERFORCE NFINITY. He won Worlds with Nfinity in 2019(#4Kenrod), and this year will be his fourth season at CFSD. Mitchell is loud, high-energy, driven, passionate coach, and cheer is his life!

Hello, I’m Adrian and I’m from San Antonio, Texas. While living in San Antonio I cheered at Stars Vipers on Royal Cobras 16’-17’, Anacondas 17’-18’, and 18’-19’. While being on those teams I became a gold medalist at the US trials in 2018. In addition, I became a Worlds Silver medalist in 2019. I now currently reside in Huntsville, Texas where I attend Sam Houston State University and also cheer there on the coed team. I have found some of the greatest friends I could have ever asked for. I joined Action Spirit in 2018 and this will be my 3rd summer. Some of my best summers have been because Action Spirit and its staff, for that I am truly blessed to be apart of such a great staff who contribute to the evolution of cheer throughout the years.

Alan was born and raised in the small town of Laredo, Texas and currently live in San Antonio. This will be Alan’s 6th season of cheer and has coached for 2 seasons now. In Laredo cheer was very limited, but he instantly fell in love with the sport and has been very passionate about growing in the industry. He even taught myself how to tumble! In 2017 he won his first NCA title and also placed 2nd at worlds in 2019 with Stars Vipers Anacondas. This fall he will be attending and cheering at the University of Texas San Antonio where he plans to major in Business Marketing. Alan will also be continuing as a competitive cheerleader at Stars Vipers in hopes to obtain his first Worlds Gold medal! This year will be Alan’s first year on Action Staff, and is beyond excited. When he is not cheering he enjoys watching movies, going for long hikes & runs, and definitely LOVES food! Alan is always down for an adventure, and can not wait to take on a new journey with Action Spirit

Kayce DeMello is a new staffer that just joined Action Spirit this summer! She grew up in beautiful Honolulu, Hawai’i and then later moved to Texas to start her new college adventure! She cheered for the Cardinals at Trinity Valley Community College for 2 years…then transferred to Sam Houston State University. She is currently on the SHSU
Co-ed Cheer Team. Her favorite hobbies are swimming, hiking, stunting, working out, eating, playing animal crossing and spending time with family & friends. She is very excited to work with Action Spirit and cannot wait to inspire and give back to the cheer community!

Hi, my name is Rudy Borgonia IV, I’m 25 years old and I have been cheering/coaching for 8 years. I currently reside in Huntington Beach, California where I model, act, and currently own my own clothing line, Civil Villain. I began cheering at Mater Dei High and continued to cheer for Orange Coast College. Cheering at Mater Dei I won multiple national championships. As I began competing in all stars I was taught many lessons that I carry with me till this day. The best part is never winning at Worlds, UCA, NCA, or Summit. Being given the opportunity I have been working for Action Spirit for 4 years now and it is the best thing I could ever do during my summers. Going further I have been on multiple tv shows, commercials, and series such as: Boss Cheer, Marvels Runaways, Nickelodeons Kids Teens Choice Awards and others.

Bradee joined the Action family in the summer of 2017. He currently lives in San Diego California and is a coach at CheerForce San Diego. This will be his 3rd year on staff. He began his cheerleading career 9 years ago in 2012, originally cheering at his home gym Desert Storm Elite located in Arizona to then moving to CheerForce in the summer of 2015 to achieve 2 World titles with CheerForce Sandiego in the span of 5 years.

Madi is going on to her 3rd summer with Action Spirit! She was born and raised in Texas, where she works and cheers at Stars Vipers. She was on the Acrobatics and Tumbling team at Azusa Pacific University the 18-19 season, where she was one of the top performing freshman. Although acro was tons of fun, she decided to come back to the "cheer world" and could not be happier! Madi is going on to her 8th year cheering and is a 3x NCA champion, 2x Summit champion and Cheersport champion. She is majoring in kinesiology with the intent of becoming a physical therapist, specializing in the rehabilitation of athletes!

Katherine Abela has been a part of Action spirit staff since 2019. She has been a part of Australian cheerleading for 7 years competing for both collegiate and all star teams and has competed at the world championships 3 times. She toured with Bring It On the Musical as a part of their Australian broadway cast in 2018 and 2019 and most recently was a part of the Trinity Valley Cheer squad in 2020

Welcome Jordan Hudson aka Jojo to the Action team. He is from Stuttgart Arkansas where he became the first male cheerleader in his home town. Since then Jojo has competed in worlds twice, but the third time is the charm! He has coached all-star and staffed NCA camps for 3 years while coaching cheer and tumbling classes for eight years. Jojo cheered at the University of Central Arkansas for two years and is now a senior cheerleader at Sam Houston State University. He has also started a health & fitness brand called “bareFXT” on social media where he gives health tips and body weight workouts. Last but not least Jojo likes to do random flips every where he goes and he is always up for a standing full check!

Daisy is new to the Action Spirit staff. She was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Daisy fell in love with the sport at the age of 4 and has been cheering ever since. She currently cheers at Stars Vipers in San Antonio. And has coached at Tumble Tech in Austin Texas for the past 4 years. Daisy is a 8 time NCA champion 2 time UCA champion And 2019 Summit champion
